Zhelyazko Zhekov is one of the famous producers in the field of the Bulgarian’s folklore. He is also musician, composer, arranger, teacher and as a whole – connoisseur of the Bulgarian traditional and national music.

During the years Zhelyazko Zhekov collaborate with many of the renowned musicians and performers of the traditional Bulgarian music. Despite of this he is always in search of young talents.

In his album collection “Nuggets of Gold”, there are compositions that represent the national creation of the South-eastern region of Bulgaria. This is a place with very specific colour of this genre of music.
