The evolution of Rap Muzik has arrived, Chopped & Screwed is a form of Hip-Hop that originated in Texas and has started to expand throughout the United States and around the globe. Today when a new album is released, it is done in two forms, one is the album the way it was recorded normally and a second version which is a Chopped (a DJ scratching) & Screwed (The entire album is slowed down to help you understand it a little bit more when your perkin’). In some cases now the Chopped & Screwed versions of the albums sell more copies than the original album which proves how popular Chopped & Screwed Muzik has become.
As a proven pioneer in the North Coast Rap scene, Bullet has continued to have his own unique ways of making music and running his label Eastside Muzik Inc. Instead of releasing new artists just under his label, he puts out their albums under Bullet Presents which have helped establish these artists in the Northwest rap scene and around the world. He has also released North Coast Reign, which is one of the best selling Northwest Hip-Hop compilations of all time. This time around he is introducing Northwest Rap Fans to a new way to listen to Hip-Hop, and that’s Chopped & Screwed except he just gives it a different name and that’s Brewed & Sliced. The Chopped & Screwed albums aren’t meant to be heard sober, in fact they are what your suppose to listen to when your drinking and smoking. In 2001 Bullet & Shaolin teamed up and brought you Smalltown Livin' Big City Game which was suppose to be an introduction record to their future release which never came to be when Bullet & Shaolin unexpectedly split ways. Now after three years, the album has been reconstructed and updated with 7 new songs, including 9 classics from the original release, and a whole new look.
