Album Notes

Second Best Demo Ever Made, Bumpkin's second release, was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Crystal Clear Studios in Dallas, Texas in July and August 2004. Group members are D.B. Dooley, John Peck, Jean Dooley, and Bumpkin. D.B. Dooley shares songwriting credits with Bumpkin and plays viola on this album, Jean Dooley plays accordion, and John Peck contributes with the mandolin and violin. Bumpkin is privileged to have the services of John Peck, who played with the Louisiana Hayride from 1981-1983 and with Mark Chesnutt from 1992-1995. Additionally, Bumpkin would like to thank Tim Wilson for his work on bass.

Bumpkin thanks Doctorgraw of 105.9 FM Fargo for giving him his first known stateside airplay with "Days Go By" from Bumpkin's Man Outta Me. Bumpkin prefers noteriety in the boondocks. Big city noteriety is dumb.

Bumpkin's 7 track ep was derailed in 2006 for various reasons which will be published in Bumpkin: Portrait of an Artist, Bumpkin's biography, sheduled for release in February, 2036. It has now been changed to a 9 song cd. So finally, such songs as Early Morning Masturbation and Nowhere to Go (Bumpkin's only good songs recorded last year, available for listening at www.garageband.com/bumpkin) will be available on cd this summer. Bumpkin gives no exact date of release, because he doesn't like breaking promises all the time. Other songs will range in topic from very crazy wives to wayward girlfriends to a song about Seasonal Affective Disorder. Of course, drinking will be a topic as well. What is a Bumpkin release without talk about drinking?

Hello fans, friends, and enemies. Still working on my next album. Will be tracking at Palmyra Studios in Palmer Texas for a couple days this week. I like the country.
