Album Notes

Fool's Day was recorded, edited, and mastered at Deep Ellum Studios in April and May 2005. Bumpkin would like to thank engineer/producer Craig Smith for his meticulous attention to detail.

Fool's Day is Bumpkin's 3rd release after Man Outta Me (2004), an acoustic set of mostly drinking tunes, and Second Best Demo Ever Made (2004), an Irish country/bluegrass affair featuring John Peck, the best violinist in North Louisiana and former member of the Louisiana Hayride.

Update: 01/27/06

author: jeff tweedy
this is the best americana album of 2005 possibly the best album ever, all the songs are great, such as the lazy "higher place" and the hit single "two timing thing", if you dig dark Americana music with a sense of humor, then fool's day is your album, this will drive you to drinking or make you crazy, bumpkin continues to produce quality music and fool's day is his best. check out the rain effect on rain spell.......nice touch, did you take my beer?
