Why another CD? I don't know. The fire's in the belly, I guess. It's been 3-4 years since August Moon was released. Thanks to all of you who purchased it.
The proceeds from the sale of this body of work will help to educate the children of Debbie Riggs.
You will note that this music is a little different from the first CD. I still think it's eclectic. I'm not sure what bag it fits, if any. But, that's what keeps the creative juices flowing. Maybe someone out there can give an opinion. One of my clients (who is a standup bass player) said my first cd was rather dark. Well, this CD is dedicated to a client whose life was sadly taken by her husband in September of 2002. So, I guess I just can't get outta' the night.
I believe these songs show a little more maturity is style and composition. Judge for yourself.
You can also see another creation. The MangyMilkBone guitar which is pictured throughout this CD. It's my first attempt at being a luthier. The body is swamp ash with neck-through-body construction. The complete story of the MMB guitar can be found on my website: www.mangymilkbone.com.
I want to give credit to the fine group of musicians that helped me out with this project. Mark Hitt on bass, Chris Clark on keyboard, and Steve Luongo on drums, all masters of their instruments and trade, added the glue to keep this CD together.
I hope this second CD meets with your approval and continued encouragement.
Peace, love and understanding!
