Cold Winter Moon is the brand new 2008 release by North Carolina Country /Rock artist-producer Burke Long.Cold Winter Moon is authentic southern roots music that features vintage guitar tones masterful pedal steel and aching country vocals.Echos of Tom Petty John Cash and Rodney Crowell can be heard in the fourteen included tracks.
Burke produced the record at his studio DB recording in North Carolina with additional tracking of drums and pedal steel done in Colorado. Many of the songs were written during the winter of o7 and inspired the cold weather lyrical themes. Holidays, an ode to making in through the most wonderful time of the year, is a roots rocker that would make Chuck Berry proud. Cold Winter Moon puts you out driving on an empty country highway , and the haunting harmonica and baritone Johnny Cash guitar leave no doubt it’s a lonely ride.
