notes
I met Kay Kay when she sang at a friend's funeral. I had already been hearing about her. We played in a band together for a couple of years, mostly in West Texas, before I moved to México. A Blues critic told me that the worst thing about the album is me wearing sneakers on the jewel case cover photo. This is far from a strict Blues album. It´s steeped in the tradition of 60´s R&B. Kay Kay´s background is Gospel. The feeling among the musicians here is not like a church service; more like a church social.
