ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Originally created to strictly be a recording project, The Burning of Rome™ was developed in 2003 along the county edges of San Diego, California. The songs were all recorded in ProTools with a lot of oddities incorporated into their mix. After a year's time had passed the notion of turning the project into a live production became more and more feasible. And, soon enough, after about $2,500 of debt was chalked up, the sound of The Burning of Rome transcended from the Studio Monitors to the PA System. Ainsi, the group as we know it today exists.

The melodic craftsmen of this modern ensemble include: Michael Richardson (drums / other percussion), Laura Stanger (synthesizer / glockenspiel / vocals), Paul Aguilar (bass / vocals), Sean Fitzsimmons (guitar / vocals), & Adam Traub (synth organ/ world instruments / vocals). Working to stray from the margins, the quintet has shaped a sound that defines a period of revolution, romance, and rampage. All in appeal to those like Livy, when of writing The Burning of Rome exclaimed, "Our ears are assailed by the cries of our despairing allies who appeal to us for help more than they do to the gods..."
