Album Notes

Canadian-born singer songwriter, John Burns, has delivered powerful vocals from backup to lead in numerous bands spanning his music career. His vocals have been described as "a bright beam of sunlight piercing a cloudy sky". Although his primary instrument is vocals, John has been playing piano and guitar since he was a child which allowed him to cover more songs throughout his musical career.

During the production of his debut solo CD, John's main influences were Pink Floyd, Genesis and David Bowie, which can be felt throughout each song. His music is deeply melodic and introspective, with a large progressive rock band sound in a powerful CD that can be listened to from beginning to end.

In 2000 John began a solo project which involved the talents of 8 accomplished Toronto musicians and produced the debut CD titled "John Burns Out".

John is currently working on two new CDs and a music video for Insterstellar Drifter, with segments that were filmed inside NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California.
