Album Notes

BURY THE BULLY is a musical synergy that has been evolving for over a decade. With the release of their debut album, Life Death and Wonder, the boys of BURY THE BULLY are poised to invade your synapses and reshape your concept of modern rock.

The genesis of Life Death and Wonder is forged from a long progression of musical experimentation combined with explosively executed live shows. BURY THE BULLY's debut album is a calculated soundscape that brings listeners on a melodic journey through life's sweetest and darkest moments. This is the kind of music that lives in your stereo and iPod.

BURY THE BULLY was conceived in 1997 in Whitby, a suburb of Toronto. Rich, Mike, Cala and Parker met in high school and began making music instantly. Their early recordings were financed with prize money from numerous battle of the band competitions, earning them spots with bands like Simple Plan, Gob, Thornley and the Vans Warped Tour, thanks to the influences like The Beatles, Weezer, Billy Talent, Brand New, Foo Fighters, and Radiohead.
These influences are present to varying degrees on Life Death and Wonder, resulting in a sound that's best characterized as high energy strive-rock.

In 2001 the boys hooked up with producer Pete Lesperance (of Harem Scarem) and in 2004 they began working with producer Mike Turner (ex-Our Lady Peace). The band's technical talent and dynamic stage energy coupled with the years of recording industry experience that Pete and Mike bring to the table has resulted in a musical storm that is absorbing fans, attention and popularity at an exponential rate. If this is the first time that you're hearing about BURY THE BULLY, I guarantee that it won't be the last.
