They're singer-songwriter-soloists David Buskin (piano, guitar) and Robin Batteau (electric and acoustic violin), they've played everywhere from London streetcorners to Carnegie Hall, shared Grammy, Emmy, Clio, and Gold Record Awards and an Oscar nod, jammed with YoYo Ma, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, and Benny Goodman, written charity songs for World Hunger Year, Save the Whales, Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, and Bill Clinton's '92 campaign, money songs for Paula Abdul, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Anne Murray, and Judy Collins, played with amazing folkies from Tom Rush to Peter, Paul and Mary, written skits and songs for Alec Baldwin, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Whoopi Goldberg for charity shows, modeled for Avedon, even danced with Anne Reinking. You'd think they'd be tired now, but no, they made this new record and they're wicked psyched. It's freaking awesome. Totally.
