Popskull rocks!
From start to finish "Popskull" is a relentless rock machine that takes no prisoners. I am not a huge fan of rock music these days, but this album seems to have something more. It's packed with huge hooks, catchy melodies and great guitar playing (The solos on "Sacred Heart" even sound a little like Frank Zappa to me. Maybe I'm crazy?). The best part about the album for me is it's overall cohesiveness. Not one song sounds out of place. Popskull is truelly an "Album" and not just a bunch of songs thrown together. I would recommend "Popskull" to anyone into 80's music, Power Pop, The Beatles, etc.

John Meiter

idie pop takes on the 80's.
ButterFace has recorded an indie pop rock extravaganza. With hints of the Foo Fighters, XTC and even the Fab 4(that¡¦s the Beatles for you under 30 kids), ButterFace has successfully experimented with different genres. Each tune has a unique style and compositional format. Tunes flow from rockers such as the UFO inspired "Celestia", to the heart-on-the-sleeve "Sacred Heart". In an era when indie pompous acts have forgotten how to guitar solo, ButterFace is not afraid to let one go once in awhile. The outtro take, "You Need Someone", with its Beatle-esque production and string arrangements, makes for a perfect ending to a perfect ride!
