Album Notes

butt is futuristic evil pop, this is the first full on studio record from the demented duo and the fourth roadhouse tunes release! the album mashes ugly chords, lumbering drums, and themes like eating bugs, being tricked by farmers, alien crash landings, oil spill beach parties, abusing elephants at the zoo, and big horrible!

The band originally came about as Amy and Mario stayed up night after night partying and listening to all weird ass music and smashing bugs. one night the joke came about to start a band called butt, just so people would have to every once in a while see this band called butt play a show and their quality of life would go down just that much further. the two rushed to the basement studio, wrote and created the first butt song, this worm is named steve.

"our friend amelia was just fresh out of the hospital at the time, she'd broken her shoulder wrestling in the yard and she was at her moms house with her head shaved all sitting around in pajamas looking like a freakshow. we brought her this worm is named steve on cd and told her it was our new band, and she just listened to it with her face kind of twisted, and then she just turned to us with her eyes all bugged out and shook her head real uneasily. we pretty much then decided to keep writing stuff."

definetly punk and sci-fi influenced. some of the noises are very good. at times reminiscent of the melvins. good listen i'd say.
