Album Notes

"I have become totally and utterly and unapologetically addicted to Daydream, the debut EP from Los Angeles' soon-to-be stars, Buva. How could I be anything but hooked on this Todd Rundgren-meets-Jellyfish -meets nobody else ear-candy?"

So says mundanesounds.com's Joseph Kyle of Buva's debut ep titled Daydream. After recording demos at their home studio in Los Angeles, Buva gave a cd to producer/musician Andy Chase(Ivy, Tahiti 80, Smashing Pumpkins) who invited Buva to New York to finish, polish and mix 5 of the tracks that became the Daydream ep.

The Daydream EP was co-produced and mixed by Chase and recorded in Los Angeles and New York in the summer and fall of 2003.

Buva has received airplay from radio programming giant Nic Harcourt on KCRW in Los Angeles as well as University of Oregon DJ Craig Leve's Snap Crackle Pop! radio program. Songs have been featured on the tv shows The OC, Smallville, Boston Public and the films Me, Myself & Irene and Stuck On You.

Buva is currently recording new material to be released as a full length later in 2004.

Tom "Buva" Wolfe gets high marks for his 5 song compilation. Sound song writing with catchy yet mindful melodies accompany crisp musicianship on a well produced, solid effort. Cannot wait to hear more from this up and coming star. Buva has evolved! Hitch on to this shooting star and say you knew him back in the day. GO BUVA!

"Premium pop of the highest order"
author: Kevin Mathews

Buva does his Todd turn with this fine EP, co-produced with Ivy's Andy Chase and it is premium pop of the highest order in the Jason Falkner mode. Yup, that good! Probably somewhat under the radar but "Another World" is the kind of epic ballad that Todd would kill for now and "Daydream" is pure hilarity married to Brian Wilsonesque hysterics. Bravo! Encore! Maestro!
