In 2011 Paul Stookey recorded Byrd & Street's song for animal adoptionon from this " Love Broke the Fall" Album, "Let Me Be Your Friend" for YouTube and "Pet Connect ." The songs has also been licensed by the Austin Humane Society and Austin German Shepherd Rescue. The title track, " Love Broke the Fall" took the Top Country song and "A Different Plan" won a Lyrics Award in The Austin Songwriters Group competitions.

Before joining forces with Kathy Street, Tommy Byrd played with The Geezinslaws, sang harmony with Willie Nelson on his album, The Sound in Your Mind, and won numerous songwriting awards, including the Song of Austin. Tommy has also engineered and produced projects for many musicians around central Texas at ‘Byrd House Studio.” Kathy sang with folk and pop groups, a sister's quartet, and performed in musicals and cabarets, playing Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Adelaide in Guys and Dolls and Elsa in the Sound of Music.
