Rock-n-roll music with no pretense or limitations, just distilled wholesome musical goodness. The cure for today's pitch-corrected, rhythm-doctored commercial music that totally lacks a SOUL.

Spring is in the air. It feels good. It smells good.
The rock-n-roll has never been better here, around Madison WI. People Brothers Band and Guppy Effect are playing some spectacular live shows. My solo gigs are warm and fun. This is going to be a kickass year.
In honor of it, I am making "Inspirado" available for download in it's entirety for just $1 this week only. That's 11 of my best 2007 songs for just a buck. If you don't have these songs on your iPhone yet, now is the time.
PEACE!
Joe
Cactus Joe would like to thank the following collaborators: MG Sherry (drums and constructive critique), Branden M (lyrics and laughs), Wes Columbia (guitar shredfests and quality control), Claire O'Leary (lyrics and "inspirado"), and the Dudleys (hospitality and pizza). Also everyone who supported him and his crazy schemes.

Cactus Joe: Creative Lyrics. Bold Sound.
author: Sherry Misener
This is pure rock at its finest: an artist who isn't afraid to write his own lyrics. Lyrics that in one song can be romantic, in another comedic, but in all songs, melodic. My favorite for an upbeat love song is "Peppermint Girl", while "The T'baccy Song" wins for tongue-in-cheek humor about a very serious topic. Can't wait to hear more!
