Norwalk, CT based singer/songwriter Cadence Carroll has made quite an impression on acoustic music fans in her home state since graduating from Ithaca College in the spring of 1995.
She has released two self-produced cassettes and most recently completed the recording of her first full-length CD, Evolve, with nationally-known folk duo, The Kennedys.
Pete and Maura Kennedy produced, engineered and performed on the release, due out in April 2002.
With guitar and djembe in hand, Cadence is a regular feature performer at venues up and down the east coast.
She has opened for such folk artists as Susan Werner, The Kennedys, Ellis Paul, Einstein's Little Humunculous, Karen Savoca and Peter Heitzman and many more.
When she's not performing her own music, Cadence can be found providing support as a back-up percussionist and vocalist.
She has played professionally with Vanida Gail, Hugh Blumenfeld, The Kennedys, Ina May Wool, and she is currently a member of the Terence Martin Band.
She's also been known to jump onstage at a moment's notice with almost anyone who asks for a little drumming.

Pleasant a little too "new - agey" for my tastes, but original and peaceful. The guitar tones are clean and beautiful, and the percussion is skillful and sweet. Vocally reminiscent of Dar Williams, Jill Sobule and Lisa Loeb. Overall it's simple and sweet.
