Cafe Accordion Orchestra is proud to present it's 4th album, "Live!" The 14 tracks were all recorded at performances for festivals, dances, and concerts, in glorious monophonic hi-fi sound.
Included are a few new renditions of old favorites from previous CAO recordings,( "Dancing on the Moon," "Accordion Joe," "Bohemien" ) as well as a lot of new material. There are swing standards ( "Swingin' on a Star," "Honeysuckle Rose" ), Latin dance rhythms ( "Foxy Cumbia," "Saxophone, Por Que Choras," "Santo Domingo"), and French musettes and Gypsy tunes, ("La Bourrasque," "La Belle et La Manouche"), and much more. ( Even a polka!) These recordings truely capture the sound of the fun shared between the band and it's audiences.

This CD is great, I'm using it to convert my friends to the joys of accordian music. I first heard the band at Lincoln Center's Summer Swing Dance Festival and hope the band will return in 2004.

A fantastic way to bring people of all ages together! If you love dancing in your kitchen; if you love singing in the car, if you would like to feel like you were sitting in a little cafe tucked away in Europe . . . than this is a perfect CD. Kudos to a very talented band!

I ordered Cafe Accordion Orchestra Live and Dancing on the Moon together and have not taken either of them off my CD player since they arrived. They contain an interesting collection of French, Latino and swing tunes that are very lively. They make me happy when I listen to them. I can hardly contain myself from dancing - so I don't.

This is a fun, lively introduction to the Cafe Accordion Orchestra. With their upbeat takes on classic tunes, Cafe Accordion delivers a performance infused with good times and joie de vivre. (When are these guys playing Washington D.C.? And can they please play somewhere where there's a dance floor??)
