Okay, I'm 54 today. I'm still pretty much of a rocker, but when I saw CAIN, I had a fake ID. Good times and bad, I always will have a place in my heart and soul for a band that I will never forget and a bass player I will always dream about! The Stoned Toad in Milwaukee was a regular stop for the band. Memories WOW! I hope all the "boys" are doing well and are healthy and happy. Peace to you all, the world sure has changed since then...

Awesome Live

Man, I smoked a lot of dope to this album when it came out. This is classic rock at its best! It's one thing to hear this music, stoned, with the headsets on. But to see Cain live, that was a show. At the Badger Room in Hudson, just outside of the Twin cities, Jiggs Lee was out of control while Forsberg ripped the guitar. Still have the album 32 years later.

Amazing Band and CD

I had the pleasure to meet Lloyd Forsberg at Pete's Guitar in St. Paul in the early 70's. After checking out the guitars, we had coffee at Embers. He told me about the recording sessions of the album A Pound of Flesh. He said it was fun and going very well. I saw Cain perform the songs at Pudges in St Paul and at the State Theater in Mpls. The songs were inventive and amazing.
Jiggs, Kevin, Dave and especially Lloyd were top notch players. Check out A Pound of Flesh if you enjoy high energy, guitar driven music. Long live Cain!

A live act that was second to none!

Cain occasionally played a little club near my home town in west central Wisconsin, so I had the privilege of seeing them perform several times in 1973-74. Their live performance of these songs was deliriously high energy from start to finish. When the album was released, it was no surprise that the studio versions were just as dynamic. This is a prime slice of early seventies hard rock that stood equally with the headliners of the time and still sounds fresh today. Its release on CD is long overdue.
