Album Notes

Cairde’s always expanding repertoire runs the gamut from centuries-old traditional tunes, to rebel songs stemming from Ireland’s battle for independence, to contemporary Irish songs and lively jigs and reels. Vocals, accordion, guitar and bodhran. This is our first CD, however we have recently added a great Fiddle player to help round out our sound for the next CD.

Excellent Music For A Magickal Evening/Event - Pure Talent - Must Hear & See!!!

Your Music is absolutely amazing and your group has pure talent! I truly love this CD - I bought it at a Feral Cat Focus Fusion fundraiser (yesterday) and have been listening to it continuosly since (as well as practicing the jigto songs #12 and #2 from this album). I love "Drawing Down The Moon" and "Solstice Call" as well as "Raven", "Johnny I Hardley Knew Ye" and "Raven". "Drawing Down The Moon" is my favorite out of all of the songs. I love the jigs too. My husband thinks that "All The Hot Water Is Gone" is funny - It brings to mind a few occassion when the hot water tank in our house didn't quite work right and no hot water was available for showers. He gets a kick out "Over the Wall" and think sthe story is funny (Chris - my husband - is a comedian/jester type person - he loves humor). This is truly an amazing and magickal CD!!! It is a must have for anyone who loves Celtic music!!!
