This is the president of the new fan club named "Wizard of Oz", Kansas Chapter, and proud owner of the CD "BEHIND MY EYELIDS"! People my search I had hoped to find my bio father lead me to meet (by phone a few months ago)this WONDERFULY TALENTED MAN! When I heard his songs it took me back to my dreams of wanting to play the guitar as well as dancing around the living room with my siblings. His rendition of "Over the Rainbow" is one of a kind! "Behind My Eyelids" shares a passion and love you feel in you soul. Haunting you with melodies in each stroke of his guitar this CD promises you listening pleasures over and over. Being a writer myself my hand could not help but grab the pen and begin to write more poetry itself. Adopting each other out of shear love of people I'm privileged to know and hear this man's words of song.

Good Cruisin' Music

Had the opportunity to listen to Byrd's 'Behind My Eyelids' two times through on a non-stop drive north from Raleigh to D.C. Excellent cruisin' music with the sunroof open and the windows down on a sunny day. Smooth but raspy vocals accompanied by a guitar sounding like it was being played by someone in the passenger seat next to me. The rustic sound of fingers sliding along the strings gives listener the feeling of a live, personal performance vs. studio sanitized. Interesting mix of tunes on the CD, haunting title, very clear and accurate reproduction to disk. Would recommend.
