Cincinnati, OH, Aug. 14, 2007 After 6 months of 19 hour days partitioned between two day jobs and subterranean recording sessions, Caleb Scates releases his commercial debut Lo-Fi Audio Circle. Lo-Fi explodes with the angst ridden vocal melodies and dragging guitar riffs you might expect to hear from a budding musician forced to spend 11 hours a day inside the corporate abyss uttering lines like, ‘Can I help you find something.’ Lo-Fi singes right from the get go with the alt. rocker “On the Brink” (Toronto Exclusive international rock song of the year nominee) and “Radio Fall Out” (featured on the Groupies Suck 13 Compilation). “Love Underground” (featured on indieguitarists.com) pays homage to 90’s alternative bands like Nirvana and the Spin Doctors. The CD, or should we say low fidelity compact disk, closes with “Good Company” which grinds out gritty guitar riffs to a drum beat that would make Meg White blush. This effort is a clear indication that Scates’ career as a songwriter will be a long one.
