Atmosphärische Pop-Musik...

Ruhige, atmosphärische Pop-Musik, irgendwo zwischen R.E.M. und Coldplay angesiedelt, spielt das Hamburger Quartett Caleidoscope. Im transparenten Gesamt-Sound dominieren der doppelte Lead-Gesang von Ann Kathrin Rau und David Grabbe. Sehr schön, wie Gitarrist Florian Rau songdienlich runde Sounds, mal clean, mal angecruncht, beisteuert, die teilweise sehr dezent und geschmackvoll mit Effekten angereichert werden. Hinzu kommen eine simple aber effektive Drum- und Bass-Begleitung, für Klangfarben sorgen Flöte, Saxophon und ein paar Keyboard-Sounds. Zum stimmigen Gesamtbild passt das gelungene CD-Artwork und die Website-Gestaltung. Eine funktionierende Band mit Konzept.
