Album Notes

Formed in the early 90's, Caliche Con Carne is helmed by James Jordon, a regular on the Tucson Punk and Underground music scene for over 12 years. The band has performed with many great Country artists like Split Lip Rayfield, Rex Hobart, The Sadies, and other regulars in the Bloodshot Alt Country scene. Caliche combines this Country sensitivity with a south of the border influence to form it's own unique blend of authentic styles.

The second release from Tucson's Caliche Con Carne is a perfect blend of "Alt?" Country/Folk music sure to appeal to those who love great songwriting and sweet harmonies. The vocal songwriting team of Raquel Mogollon and James Jordon have produced a true heartfelt collection of honest songs that are backed up by a steller crew of Tucson musicians. This is the real deal, from a rapidly growing Tucson Alt Country scene.

REVIEWS

I had no idea what to think about the CD when I clicked on a link to it here. I'm not a big fan of country that I listen to at work and around, so I wasn't too sure, but when I listened to the samples, I really fell in love with it, and I got the CD. This is definately not the "country" music that I'm used to. It sounds really pure, with great lyrics, and I love the spanish lyric songs too. This is a must get CD!
