Album Notes

This talented and witty duo have been performing together for the past twenty years. (Their third grade cabaret, "A Tribute to Steve and Eydie" is STILL being talked about!!) One of the keys to Mary & Brian's success is that they really are having as much fun as it seems. They have a number of self-contained shows, most notably "Burt & Carole & Brian & Mary - the Music of Burt Bacharach and Carole King" and "Hey There - A Tribute to Rosemary Clooney".
Their debut CD, "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" is an homage to the freewheeling feeling we all experience while on vacation. It's been inspired by Mary & Brian's last two summers spent performing in the resort town of Provincetown, MA... a magical place where many times reality drifts away with the tide!!
Individually, they've done pretty well, too - Mary as an actress with extensive credits including five national tours, and Brian, as Musical Director for the very popular cabaret group At The Movies as well as one of the founders of a 16-voice a cappella vocal ensemble The Woodland Scholars.

And remember...always wear sunblock!!

REVIEWS

Fun & light-hearted cabaret
author: Wynn Creasy
Just what the doctor ordered: Light frothy well-produced and well-crafted music for the summer. Both have good voices and have fun with the materials. Makes me wish I were at the beach sipping a pina colada and enjoying the eye-candy myself! A good one for you cabaret collection!

Velvet voices, terrific sing-along fun. Perfect!
author: Darrin Lodnon
Mary & Brian have a wonderful, velvet, magical talent. The songs are truly sing-along classics, which are equal to - if not improved versions of the original artists. It is a CD that I never get tired of listening to. Can't wait for a new release!

I love your Summer Vacation CD. You and Brian are a great duo and Brian's arrangements are so sophisticated and just-right for every song. My husband, Stan, and I listen often. I love it and can't wait for the next one!
