Called and Careless is a two-person group consisting of Anthony Carbone and Evan Gentler. Carbone and Gentler co-write all music and are responsible for all performances found on their recordings. Called and Careless perform live with various combinations of backing musicians and programmed, triggered, and recorded tracks.

Called and Careless draw on a wide variety of styles. Expect sounds ranging from thick, heavy math-metal to soft, delicate harmonies, often in the same songs. Look for thoughtful, poetic lyrics wrapped in rich, layered, odd-time music. Alternating between aggressive and soft, expect a continuously challenging sound that is both intricate and dynamic.
