Album Notes

Camela Widad Kraemer has a presence of warmth and strength that comes through clear on this album. Music that gives lyrical wisdom, syncopated rhythms, unique orchestration and a daring accapella duet on One love, her songwriting ability shines on this album.

Growing up in Wisconsin, then travelling around doing theatre her music career began as a singer in a cover band with a company in Columbus, Ohio, where she met the recording engineer for both her albums 'Call to the Soul' and 'Eve'. This first recording took her to Austin, TX where she performed live on the Austin Music Network and KUT Live with John Ailey. After some time she took her music to Los Angeles playing for a time there then to Northern California where most of the songs for Call to the Soul were written. Now you can find her on the East coast playing live and working on a third album.

As well as playing live on the Austin Music Network and live with John Ailey 90.5 in Austin, Texas, she has also performed at the Berkshire Mountain Music Festival in Massachusetts, the Health and Harmony Festival in California, as well as stages in Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and England.

To understand the journey that takes you home, you must experience it for yourself.

Feel Good Music
author: JoEllen Kraemer
"Call to the Soul" has a little different sound than "Eve". Not only have her vocals matured, but the music is a little more melo. I really enjoyed 'The Tree' and of course 'The Ballad of Ryan'. It captures true meaning when you sing. The harmony in 'One Love' is great. Makes me wish I could sing. It is feel good music.
