Album Notes

Camel City Drivers have been playing music together since the seventh grade.

One of their songs is about a friend in trouble.

One of them lives in Florida and another one lives in New York City. The other one lives in Boston.

They put ideas for these songs on tape and mailed them to each other in the Fall of 2006 and none of them got lost in the mail.

One of their songs is about someone’s ancestors. Another one is about someone’s parents.

Their first album was mostly jazz.
Their second album was mostly blues.
This album has drums on it.

Their names are Amos, Ashley and Jacob. Ashley has a harmonica in every key.
Sometimes they go fishing together.

All of them miss Sam Moss.

They want to play more concerts. Amos does not have a car.

Once they all lived in a geodesic dome.

One song is about having to do things you don’t want to do.
Jacob knows how to fix people.

They swore on the last album but this one has no cussing on it.

Now it gets personal
author: scrapiron
During the process of transferring old vinyl to cd I noted with some interest that there were quite a few lps that contained only seven songs. And in many cases... some of those songs were discards. Not the case here. Once again CCD have delivered on the promise... these are all very good songs. Not just good but very good. Skillfully written and performed. With tremendous care and respect for what each has to offer. And each song carries a personal connection that is unmistakable. The drive and the musical energy is here in spades... but here is songwriting and heart that has not been fully realized until now. This is so clearly a disc that tells so many stories. Stories of pain and of heart... and stories of action and of search. Stories of hope and stories that need closure. Poignant... and personal. Every cut. If "Battle" doesn't make you want to march then you need to find another outlet. And if you don't feel something in "This Man" then you need to have someone help you to feel. An amazing new add to a growing body of very good work.

I have always loved the sound and soul of these three guys

The CD is full of peaceful music, with thought provoked and provoking words-some of the sounds are too repetitious, but on the whole this is great for easy listening!
