About Nova Noël
For almost ten years, Camerata Nova has staged unique holiday concerts in some of Winnipeg’s greatest and most acoustically interesting buildings. These standing-room-only performances have become one of the highlights of the Winnipeg music season. The aim of this recording is to recreate the magic that happens every year during these concerts. Nova Noël is a unique blend of traditional early carols and contemporary arrangements which incorporate non-traditional instruments. This offering respects the line and beauty of the original melodies while reawakening our enjoyment of seasonal vocal music.
