Darwin would be proud. From the days of Citizens Patrol, Mark Cameron and his music have evolved.
Darwin would be proud. From the days of Citizens Patrol, Mark Cameron and his music have evolved.
He and his band have reached a place that will feel familiar to anyone whose musical tastes where formed in the 70's, but have never stood still. With one foot in Rock and the other in Blues, these guys stand tall.
Consistent themes throughout Life of Illusion are rich vocal layering, Cameron's Ginsu like guitar riffs, and Benedict's percussion mastery. Solid bass and blues harmonica pull it all together.
There's not a sleeper track on the album, but I’ve got my favorites. From Nervous World with its twitchy opening (more cowbell!) to spending 3:59 living the Boxcar Blues all over again. You won’t go wrong no matter where you drop the needle (or laser) on this one.
So, take off your Silly Hats and give these guys a bow. Check out Life of Illusion. Mark Cameron and the band have the DNA for success.

Well, am always looking to listen to new stuff, and I had no idea that Mark had anything to do with music. So when I was talking to Ron L. at Lennox on Tuesday after my run, I noticed am unopened cd. Hmmmm, I have heard the name Mark Cameron tossed about abit on my travels, but, music was never mentioned. I asked if I could listen to it on the way home, and I can\'t stop listening to it! \"Since I Met You\" Has to be my favorite hands down. Fantastic album, er,.. CD. I will have to find your earlier stuff.
