by Camille Kaye

A multi-talented newcomer hailing from the musically ripe isle of Jamaica shoves a strong foot through the industry door with her debut album lit with heavy-hitting Reggae bass lines, piercing melodic epiphanies in R&B and a "rawchaw" Dancehall attitude.

Album Notes
Singer. Songwriter. Dancer. Choreographer. Camille Kaye draws from her diverse artistic points of view to create the music that is distinctly hers...a fusion of Dancehall and R&B. What would that sound like? Get a pot on the fire, turn the heat up and add some old school Lauryn Hill and Mariah Carey. As it gets hot throw a tablespoon or two of Beres Hammond and Sanchez, a couple cups of Aidonia, Beenie Man and Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley and cover the pot as it comes to a boil. Let it sit for a minute. Take the cover off (be careful, it's hot), mix with a large wooden spoon and have a taste. Still can't imagine it? Just listen.

Solstice is the culmination of her two previous projects: mixtapes entitled, "Bad Nuh...!", which had a sound deeply rooted in Dancehall and Reggae, and "14Kaye", which tackled the other half of her musical persona, R&B and Hip-Hop. Both mixtapes were comprised of ingeniously crafted remixed old school beats by Duane "Midilord" Summers and were both nominated in the UK by The Official Mixtape Awards in 2011 and 2012. The debut album has all new music from Camille with various producers including Midilord, Sean "Nynex" Ricketts from Calibur Entertainment and Coach, but still manages to stay true to her Dancehall/R&B-fusion style.

"I love Camille Kaye's dj (chant) style," Jeremy Harding - Producer and former Manager for Sean Paul

"Camille Kaye is one of the most multi-talented artists I have been exposed to in a long time. She can sing, dj (chant), rap and dance well! She will be a major force in music!" Jason SkyWalker WRFG Radio 89.3FM, and
