Album Notes

Callbacks is the often-requested (but hardly ever available) ‘rare tracks’ collection from indie pop artist Greg Camilleri. The second of two compilations showcasing Greg’s early material (mainly demos recorded from 2000-2003), Greg often refers to this disc as ‘the more immediately satisfying ADD-type of the two’. The disc is a collector's piece featuring the extremely popular Looq Studio Demos of "All The Days Blur" and "My Black Hole" (both from 2003), which have won over 25 awards from garageband.com, and endless write-ups in music rags and radio play in Los Angeles. Rounding out the collection, "Joesaphine at Parties", "Useless", "Useless (Terror Remix)", "Well Oiled Machine", "Goodness Knows" and "Steam Cleaned Concrete" appear which have previously released on the Works in Progress LP and EP, but was left off the “Auditions (Remastered)” compilation released earlier this year. "Punk Rock Roots (edit)", is a newly trimmed and tweaked version of the one off Works LP. "Adam is Ignoring Me", a demo from 2000, was the very first song recorded in what would eventually become the "Works in Progress" LP and EP. "Hollywood Pay" is a single-worthy beat-driven pop outtake (also recorded in 2000) that was inexplicably left off both the Works in Progress LP and EP. "No Better Than You (acoustic version)" is an entirely new version recorded in 2003 for an acoustic record that never happened. And finally, "Matters When" and "Left Patterns Lost" are two lost 2003 demos that have simply never seen the light of day...until now.
