Album Notes

Campbell Todd having been setting alight their home town of Liverpool (home of the Beatles and European Capital of Culture 2008) with their captivating blend of melodic and innovative song writing, explosive nylon meets steel string guitar interplay and luscious vocal harmonies.

Here's what some of the reviewers are saying about Campbell Todd (The Album):

‘This is the perfect album for the coming winter months. The music contains warm, tight harmonies and a blend of folk and acoustic pop that will compliment any relaxing morning by the fire. If it's classical guitar that you like, this band will meet your musical needs.’
Chris Propfe, The Muse’s Muse

'Neil Campbell is the best guitarist this city can boast - I challenge you to find anyone from Liverpool to touch his expertise with a hollowed-out piece of wood with strings attached. However, the Stuart Todd part of this pairing is hardly a hat-wearing shadow. They meet in the musical middle for this collaboration, and it shows in the smiles of audiences wherever they play…This CD is a must-have production of eleven wonderful songs. Buy this album and listen carefully to the brilliance hidden up its sleeve.'
Amanda De Angelis, www.liverpool.com

'Neil Campbell and Stuart Todd have graciously joined together in song and melody to bring a multifarious collection of eleven tracks which move me gently through visceral lyrics and genuinely intimate notes of classical harmony.... Genuinely warm and compassionate, as a listener you will feel their eloquence'
Alicia Rose, Nerve Magazine

Genius an overused word
author: David Churchill
Genius - a much paraded word and I hate using it, but the combined forces of Neil Campbell and Stuart Todd have produced music with a deceptively simple sound but constructed with much complexity in composition, playing and emotion. Always beautiful and never boring. 5 stars
