The Candace Brooks Band is clearly going about things the wrong way. Playing shows, writing songs, and having a myspace page doesn’t guarantee success the way it did back in 2005. Every band in the history of the world loves to define their sound and compare themselves to successful bands. T.C.B.B. has an up-beat indie pop feel that people enjoy dancing to. Perhaps in the same vein as Tegan and Sara, Franz Ferdinand or The Strokes.

From their catchy lyrics to the energy induced live shows, there’s palpable allurement to The Candace Brooks Band. Four witty and unique individuals come together to construct a vicious blend of progressive aggressive alternative rock. This Providence based band broke into the scene in 2007. Their debut CD, independently released “Life after Me”, won best Alt Rock Record of 2008 voted on by the readers of Motif Magazine for their annual Music Awards. “We always tell people to listen to our CD once a day for two weeks, and if you don’t like us after that, give us another two weeks.”-TCBB
