Am I a Cannibal Kings fan? Eat Me Anytime!

"The Cannibal Kings are not your typical Ska/Reggae band, although their roots may be in the islands their performance covers a broader range of music that is danceable, listenable and always with a positive message that adds muscle to the music.
The musics grander side shows their third world interpretations of funk; as heard in the tasty "Funky Houston", studio enhancements and tricks as presented in "Mystery Dub", and a lot of guitars and and amps turned to 11, as best employed in "The Obvious [Changes]" and "Youthman". "It's About Time" is in a more traditional reggae vein, a great hummable melody, a lively beat and the best plainative vocals you've heard in a long time.
From the first notes of the first song "Concrete Highway" to the last cadences heard on "Funky Houston", this is a solid example of ex-Happy Campers frontman Mason Vincents new endevour, The Cannibal Kings. At times sounding like the Specials meet Prince and at other times just sounding like Mason being his extraordinarily talented self.
