Album Notes

Donnie and I really saw something in the sky twice in one night in the Marin Headlands, CA. It was freaky. A year later we made this record to get it out of our (soul-r) system.

In nine days we wrote and recorded about 23 songs, 17 of which ended up on the U.F.O. CD. Then I tweezed and mixed the music while he did the art. We are quite pleased with the results. We call it a "sci-fi mini epic".

We used lots of banjo, Sequential Circuits Pro-One synth, glockenspiel, Alesis Quadrasynth, drums and various percussion. This juxtaposition of instruments inspired the "Electronic Ruralism" description.
