Album Notes

Canto Romántico is a voice and keyboard duo devoted to Classical and Romantic vocal music. Its founding members, Antonio Santos (voice) and Dr. Yonit Kosovske (fortepiano) focus on Baroque, Classical and Romantic repertories. Canto Romántico presents historically-informed performances on period instruments and explore both well-known and lesser-known pieces of music. They concertize as a duo and in collaboration with guest artists from around the globe. Santos and Kosovske met in the Early Music Institute at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. They now live in Spain and Ireland, repectively. Colombian specialist Dr. Julián Navarro (Romántic guitar) joins Canto Romántico on this recording, performing vocal and instrumental works written in Spain between 1810 and 1840.
