On this album you will find music from the days of the gold rush and log cabin days in California to looking for gigs from New Orleans to Nashville with several Christmas songs sprinkled with rock and mixed with country blues...
"Welcome to John's Place" with award winning lyrics and melodies which is a follow up of "Rose Colored Rain" will make an excellent addition to your collection. Four of the songs on this album were recorded and sang by Gary Jeffries and his band, Alligator Stew. Jeffries could very well become the next Marty Robbins with his ability to cross over between country and rock. (alligatorstew.com (LINK)
The rest of the songs were recorded by Marc Speers and sons demo services and Marc and Company are to be commended for a job very well done.

GREAT SONGWRITING!!!!!
author: Jack Myers
Who is this guy? I have so enjoyed every song on this cd. In todays world of music there is such great recording productions in the studio ,that a bad song can sound good. These songs sound good without the 500,000 dollar recording cost, because they lyrically make a great story. They have stories I have related to in my life.I miss these kinds of songs."One Time To Long" is a good example. It sounds as Tho John was in jail at one time and wrote this song from his heart. He has a smash hit with Doesn't Really Matter. I have listened to that song 300 times already.(time for a new cd)This guy has lyics that just keep goin. If ya like a great a cd, that has a story on every song that you can relate too,you should check it out.I'm glad I got this cd now, cause this guy will or should be a premier songwriter in Nashville soon.Tim McGraw only wishes he could write songs like this. Maybe he should look Mr. Capps up for his next cd.Thanks John!!!!!

Some men, very few, but some, have the gift of expression through the written word. Fewer still can write those words to be performed in song. Well, he’s done it again – a new CD with fresh and original, truly good songs. We get so used to listening to the “top forty, fifty, etc.” that we are probably missing hearing new and great songs that are being written and performed out there. Here are twelve of the best that I’ve heard in some time and I really enjoy listening to them over and over. John’s work is not only worth waiting for, it is something to be anticipated. Recently, while in Branson on business, I noted that this father and son duo are being talked about as the talented hot artists to be watched – and listened to. I’ll be in line when his next work gets produced – first in line!
