Captain T speaks the truth through his music.
Captain T is a rock outfit that mesh the trippy takes of The Grateful Dead with Black Sabbath's sonic boom to create sprawling, free form jams that'd make Phish want to take a hike back to their bowl ("Girls Inc.," "Heaven Jam"). Refreshingly heavy ("Ozzy") and spiritually satisfying, Captain T speaks the language of groove and isn't afraid to leave us with a translation. If the Foo Fighters were to mesh with Medeski, Martin and Wood, this just may be what the output would be. It's a safe bet to come aboard a rock and roll vessel when Captain T is at the helm, because you know in you're in the hands of a band that can take you anywhere you let your mind escape to. Captain T: Sinister Ambassador.
The day after the American disaster I received a package from New York containing this CD, under the circumstances I thought it would be fitting to wait a while before reviewing it. On first glance at the cover I imagined it to be a kind of rap orientated piece of work. I was greatly surprised to find nothing of the kind. Captain T seems to be a very strange character indeed merging Grunge with ambient Jazz style guitar orientated work. The vocal is a cross between singing and spoken word, Punk and 70`s Rock.
This stuff could be called the Progressive Rock of the 21st Century. My favourite tracks are Interplanetary Disgrace which lasts for about 20 minutes and Ozzy (the title says it all).
Awe inspiring!

pretty cool.

This CD is pretty cool. I found in a store for 99cents and it was well worth the price. Okay songs, cool trippy stuff, and great big Sabbath style guitar riffs - it rocks. Suffers at times from musician type over playing but still way better then the crap that you hear on MTV and radio. Very original. You should buy it.
