These are songs about real people. Some of whom I’ve met and others I’ve never heard of. One of them is a Kansas farmer who son dies in Iraq. Another walks into the Gulf of Mexico, seeking a lost childhood. Yet another dances with her long-dead husband. And yet out of all of this loss comes acceptance, humor and redemption. Dennis Caraher was raised on a farm in Iowa and is one of eleven kids. He now resides in Northampton, Massachusetts.
