Album Notes

carbonfour--

Life takes strange twists...sometimes moving away from the things all of us know. That is where the four members of Carbonfour found themselves just a year ago.

That is how they started. Carbonfour.

The album was crafted in that last year period. It is dark at times, and uplifting at others. A crafted and powerful sound full of passion, need and redemption. A reflection of the band at just one moment of time.

Carbonfour:
Fred Eigenmann//bass
Matt Miller//drums
Ian Scott//all guitars
Nels Stromborg///keyboards and all vocals

Carbonfour is a blend of big British high gain guitars, powerful and thoughtful lyrics, and an extremely tight rhythm section.

"A Matter of Physics" All guitars played by Andy Kamm. All song by Andy Kamm and Nels Stromborg.

Produced by Ian Scott and Carbonfour
Recorded by Ian Scott

emotionally strong lyrics, loud guitars, big rythm section

Visiting Chicago a few months back, a friend took me into the heart of Wicker Park to what is supposed to be one the places "to be heard playing'. The place was packed, the music loud, the crowd into the sound. The CD, which the same friend recently sent me, captures a good deal of the spirit of these guys. I found "fragrance' particulalry strong, although I wish I might have heard the tune they opened with the night I saw them. Good find, a new sound to break up my L.A. drive.

A testament to the expressive musical spirit.

One listen thru, and the lyrics pull you in. The sound is somewhat different than what I usually am attracted to, but it has a deep and emotional drawing power that grabs you. Once pulled in you can really get into the tracks and find yourself reaching for the repeat button as each track winds down. A testament to the expressive musical spirit that stirs inside the soul of the independent rocker!
