Caribbean Steel is located In "Fabulous Las Vegas,NV. "Caribbean Steel's" first album is "Smooth Steel", the first release in a series of albums featuring the sweet sounds of the Steel Drum. "Smooth Steel" presents popular songs done in an island style. From Reggae to Cha Cha to Bossa Nova, this album is perfect for any occasion. Dinner parties to Poolside BBQ's, "Smooth Steel" will transport you to the Islands.

Caribbean Steel performs all over the greater Las Vegas and Southern California region performing at such notable venues such as: The Hawaiian Marketplace, The Flamingo, Tropicana Hotel/Casino, The Golden Nugget, The Mirage, Fremont Street Experience, Las Vegas Club, Tommy Bahamas Tropical Cafe, Renaissance Catering, Mandalay Bay, Red Rocks Casino, Miller Brewing Co. Caribbean Steel was founded by band leader/Steel Drummer/Percussionist, Nico Gutierrez. Nico G. was born in N.Y.C. to Wayne Gutierrez, a professional show drummer and has been playing drumset since he was 9 yrs old. His passion for world music has led him to study Afro-Cuban Percussion including Folklore and Popular Rhythms as well as Brazilian and West African Styles of Drumming. Nico G. has studied percussion with Regino Jimenez, Michael Spiro, Mark Lamson, Poncho Sanchez, and Francisco Aguabella. Nico currently studies the steel drum with Tom Gates, Patrick J.Burke and Harris Todman. You can check out Nico and Caribbean Steel in Fabulous Las Vegas, NV.
