Carla Prather

As a vocal phenomenon from the Windy City of Chicago, Carla Prather has what many vocalists of her time have yet to encompass....killer vocal and writing
capabilities, sexual prowess, and on-stage presence that is undeniable. A veteran of the mic, Carla boasts of membership in Chicago based bands Poi Dog Pondering, Zzaje,
and Mr. Ali, and has worked with music legends Roy Ayers, Common, Amel Larrieux, Al. B. Sure, KRS 1, Erykah Badu, Miri Ben Ari and a host of many others, where she honed her craft both as a vocalist and songwriter. She has recorded with some of the most elite musicians and producers of our time including Quentin Harris, Mike Dunn, Jellybean Benitez, Vic Lavender, Maurice Joshua, Terry Hunter and Jere McAllister. Along with producer Arnell Newman of (Soulistic 360), Carla promises to wet the appetites of her fan base around the world with her latest release, "Chronicles of a Soul Sistah" complete with dance singles " I Go Beyond " and " This Luv is Muzik " as well as steppers delight " I Do Me ". Carla rounds out the package with soul tunes "Round and Round" and her summer sizzler " Summer Nights". This EP promises to be the prelude to the full length album of "pure heat" to be released in Spring of 2012.
