Album Notes

Carl Creighton was taught the guitar by his older brother Craig and piano by his mother and has been using both instruments to compose and perform music ever since. An attempt to move to New York City in 2005 was unsuccessful when the death of Creighton's sister Amanda in January forced the musician to return home to Minnesota a week after arriving. Less than a year later, Creighton mustered up his courage and once again made the big move. After finding a home in the Antifolk scene in the Lower East Side, which gave rise to such stars as Regina Spektor and the Moldy Peaches, Creighton continues performing and living in New York.

Minnesota is Carl Creighton's debut album. It's about home.
