Album Notes

CYNTHIA CARLE is a meat-eating hybrid-driving screen-writing singer-songwriter native of Los Angeles who was born in New York. High points of her life include acting in Louis Malle's Alamo Bay, being caricatured in the New York Times by Al Hirschfeld with a Nina in her hair during the Broadway run of Is There Life After High School?, watching characters she had totally made up come to life on the set of the feature film, The Sixth Man, being a Humanitas Award finalist for co-authoring You Wish, singing Beethoven's 9th at Disney Hall for Zubin Mehta, and turning down the opportunity to be killed while sitting on a toilet in Psycho III. Or was it IV. Low points include burning off her fingertips while wiring up the muffler on a Dodge Dart on the Ohio Turnpike, not hitting the streets and turning cars over when the election was hijacked in 2000, and reading The Da Vinci Code. She's gigged in New York at the West Bank's Downstairs Theatre Bar and in LA at Ghengis Cohen, MBar, Hallenbeck's, Dr. Music, Cabnrini's, The Westwood Brewing Co, and Room 5. She was a recent guest on KarmaAir's Unlimited Thinking and is a demi-regular, with Mark Nutter, at Comedy Central Stage's Sit 'n Spin. Her Kevin Bacon number is 2.
