Album Notes

Hi, I'm Carl Sandin, veteran of Houston guitar rock bands The Walk-Ins (1987-1995) & The Sperlings (1996-2001) and this is my 4th solo album. It has been under construction since the demise of The Sperlings in 2001. The Sperlings were nominated by The Houston Press for best pop rock band in 2001. Houston's Public News named me "singer songwriter" of the year in 1994 for a prior solo album.

I decided I would not release another album until I was totally happy with it and felt it would stand up as a legitimate album in general, not just compared to other indie releases. I have worked on it for quite some time, so let me know what you think. I got a lot of help from friends, including Christopher Wilson (www.cattlecallrecords.com), another cdbaby artist. Check out www.carlsandin.com or www.sperlings.com for more info on me. I'm into guitars and 70s keyboard sounds, I love the Donnas, I love Badfinger, etc. (?)

The new album has 8 originals and some covers, a Wannabes song, a Sad Pygmy song (sister & brother-in-law), and one each by Sheryl Crow, and Ace Frehley. I've priced it cheap to get copies out to as many people as possible, they do no good in my closet.
