Richest Man Alive was penned by Carl with collaboration from Cliff Meekins (Earl Clifton and The Pin-Ups / Garage Rock) Carl's twin brother! The general idea for the song stems from the ongoing demise of the American Financial Crisis as compared to Carl's life and the way he measures his riches. In these modern times where God seems to be just an old fairytale some may think the track makes a bold statement with it's "I've got Jesus by my side" lyric. But for those still in this world who do believe in family, friends, the Lord and love, they may find this song to be a staple, A new found Anthem! Carl Wayne Meekins is good country music with rock roots. Originally from Chesapeake, VA. Carl has made his new home in Spring Hill, TN just south of music city. Since his move he's been busy writing songs for country, roots rock, and sound and spirit. He's already penned two notable tunes with Christian singer / songwriter Justin Unger "Your Life In Me" and "In You Alone" on Justins album Disengage. Along with writing in local song writer circles throughout the Nashville area, Carl performs solo and in the trio "Acoustic Cadillac" playing his acoustic guitar and singing a collection of his songs along with country standards of today and yesterday.
