Album Notes

"Carnevil has the pieces in place to become the next five-headed metal monster out of Central Florida, with each of their original songs showcasing different styles and arrangements. This is important as their penchant for variety has me believing that "they" will soon have folks outside of Florida recognizing that the metal scene in the state has new blood in its veins."

"It is difficult to describe exactly the style and the driving force behind Carnevil’s sound, but I’m especially a fan of the melodic vocals of Chuck Boyer; it ranges from very melodic soft rock to more aggressive heavy growls and screams... and enthralling guitar riffs combined with some great solos performed by two guitar master men. Bass lines of David Gibbins are very diverse and strong, being so intense and heavy, just like the drumming of Anthony Lupo that you feel your ears are about to explode!"

Panic Machine by Carnevil

It isn't enough to say Carnevil is heavy metal or that they are five talented musicians from Central Florida. Melodic doesn't seem the adjective to fit a heavy metal song, but there you are singing all the words to the last refrain. These lyrics pack such a punch with topics from child abuse, neglect, and abandonment to a profound lamentation of a departed grandfather. While this Carnevil band has been reduced to the original guitarist/songwriter Nate Naymick and bassist David Gibbins, they have reformed with drummer Chris Stropoli and lead guitarist Abe (surname?). Although they are currently auditioning potentials singers, this amazing band is alive and well and pretty soon will re-burst on hopefully not only the Orlando scene once again but on the national - and international - scene as well. These are passionate musicians, incredibly talented songwriters, committed to Carnevil and to their growing legion of frenzied fans! One could do worse than to pick up a copy of their CD Panic Machine and give it a listen - your jaw will drop!!
