Hope is a warm slice Carol’s heart served up with love, joy and sincerity.  The songs of this acoustic album offer snapshots of the honest challenges, celebrations, strivings, and triumphs of the lives around her and us.  My personal favorites include “Wishes” and “When Grace comes back” which both paint beautiful images of the strength of love and commitment in the midst of adversity.  Carol’s cover of “Danny Boy” engulfs the listener with longing and love and brings these classic lyrics to life like no other.

I loved Carol Ann Jones' first CD, so naturally I assumed disc#2 would be a letdown. Isn't that usually the case? Well, I am here to tell you that this disc - while completely different from Out of the Blue - is Jones' best work yet. She ditches the drums, adds mandolins and fiddles, and creates a new sound that so complements her amazing voice. Oh -- that's one thing about this new disc that stays the same... Her voice is just as beautiful as ever.  But listen, don't take my word for it; I actually have three pieces of advice. 1) Give it a listen. 2) Keep listening. And above all, 3) Buy this disc!
