Album Notes

A Holly tree stands in the middle of the silent snow. A friendly wind sails a few stray holly leaves into the air. They eventually land in a faery's hair. Holly wings sprouted from the faery's back, and she flies into a shady fir tree to play her harp. The holly wings protect her from winter's chill, and her autumnal maple ones lay on the ground beneath the snow with all the other fallen leaves.

Caroline Friehs found her Christmas album to be beautiful for the harp alone, so she wanted other people to hear it just for the grace of the solo harp.

This CD is the instrumental version of Poinsettia Forest. The faery in the story is tired after the party with the angels. She drifts to sleep from the last angel playing the harp.

This version is very relaxing and soothing to the ear. Poinsettia Forest is great to listen to while putting up the Christmas tree.
